If the transmission fluid level if full then the truck needs a new transmission

Depends who did it. The installer may not have thought about the trans cooler being in the radiator. It could have been done by a shop helper, a hack, or Bob the Builder.

yes I was thinking on the same line as you were Tony... if it ain't low its probably bad and being 10+ years old if it hasn't gone out yet it probably has now.... I went thru 2 trannys on my 97 2wd Tahoe, one at 11k miles and again at 109k..stator bearing I believe was the cause

My 2000 Tahoe Limited 5.7 2wd needed a new trans around 87,000. If his lasted that long he is doing real good.

I replaced the radiator on my tahoe and i noticed not to much of a difference in the fluid level for the trans it was still in the good range. My guess is that you need to have the trans rebuilt or new one

the fluid level was the first thing that came to my mind but its g2g. it was some tweek that did the radiator swap but i over looked it and for a tweeker they didnt do a bad job lol. the tranny was rebuilt two years ago. i guess im gonna have to take it to them and pay them to dig into the trany. man i dont want to though. is this trany suppossed to shift kinda hard or no? all i know is ford trucks but my trucks never shifted so hard. if not im guessing that was the warning sign of it takin a **** eh. hey want to thank all of you for takin your time to help me out. thank you!
