When the temperature is appropriate, the AC will come on with the defrost if the outside temp is above 45 F. This is pretty much with all Suburban’s and Tahoe’s from at least 2008 and up.

I was was wondering if someone can check how often their compressor comes on when the defrost is on. Right now with the proper charge, with 60 F outside and the defroster on, the compressor is coming on for 5 seconds, then shutting off for 5 seconds and repeating. What about yours? Thanks.
