Default Active fuel management question

Is there a way to turn it off. It's kinda anoying sometimes and I noticed if I'm pulling my 6,000 lb boat with the tow haul mode on it still kicks into 4cyl mode?

Since its seamless when it switches between modes, why do you care? Other than seeing it on the DIC display, I can't tell when it switches.

I can tell when I'm towing. We pull our boat up and down hills to get to the lounch. It just has that little delay when I get on it to get a runny up a hill

The only way I know is to have a tuner chip put it that has the AFM function turned off...however disabling could void any warranty you have left on the power train...

I also tow a boat and other things and I can not tell when it switches. Are you sure it is not something else that you feel. Is this you first vehicle without throttle cables? Throttle response on a drive by wire system is not the same as it would be with a throttle cable.

also could be the torque converter locking up. my burb loves to unlock going down hills coasting and then when I get on the gas it locks back up causing a noticeable but very faint "bump"

This is prob what you feel
