Default Auto start not working

I have an 07 LT burb. The remote start was working a few months ago and then all of a sudden it stopped working. I lock the doors and when I press the button to start the car the blinkers flash. There is a click in the engine but nothing turns on. Anyone run into this problem?

Is the "Check Engine" lite on? Remote start won't work if it is. If it's not, try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and reconnecting.

You need to get it scanned to see what the code(s) are and then fix the problem(s). Then get the CEL reset. Remote start should work then.

The "check engine light" being on is a safety for the remote start, it prevents you from starting the engine if say the engine oil is low, or some other potential engine damaging concern is present.

I just changed the oil about 1000 miles ago. It came on about that time. How do I reset it?

Before resetting it, you need to find out what the concern is... remotely starting the engine and not resolving the issue could potentially damage the engine...
Get the code read and addressed... once addressed it can be cleared and the remote start should start working again...

clearing the codes might not be enough, you probably should pull the codes and resolve the issue first. might be something silly like a loose gas cap
