I recently purchased an 08 Tahoe Hybrid. The previous driver dragged their feet when getting in and out of the vehicle and the paint has been rubbed off to the metal.

Is there any aftermarket strips that can be applied to cover this up and protect it from further damage?

Yep, 3M makes stuff that might work. If you're careful, it might look pretty good.

If you repaint, you could cover the cured paint with this.
