Default Broke The Rocker Arm Stud

I am replacing the heads on my 99 tahoe 5.7 liter. I was tightening the rocker arms and go figure, on the last one, I broke the stud that you put the rocker arm on. Does anyone know what I can do? Do I need a new head or is this something that can be fixed in the car. I am not wanting to take the head out again!

You can try using an Easy-Out to remove it and replace w/ a new stud. If that doesn't work, you can drill it out and put in a Heli-coil and a new stud.

It really depends on where the stud broke off, if you can access any of the stud and can extract it, then you will probably be okay, if it broke off at the head then as shark suggested it may need to be tapped out
