Can't Pump Gas into Tahoe No Check Engine Light
Good Morning,
This is the first time ive posted to the forum so please bare with me.
I have a 2005 Tahoe LT 5.3L V8 with 160,000 miles and its one heck of a machine.
The only issue I seem to be having with the vehicle is i cannot put gasoline into it. The pump at the station will run for approx. .3 of a gallon before clicking, gurgling, and throwing up about half a gallon of fuel at me. I've already replaced the vehicles vent solenoid behind the spare wheel near the rear end. I have no check engine light and haven't ever had a check engine light. I inspected the vehicles roll over valve on the tank and it operates perfectly, I've reached a dead end and am needing assistance in this issue.
Thank you for your help

Welcome to the forum...
I would suspect the tank vent line may be plugged, check for a smaller vent line that runs along the main filler tube to where it runs up to the gas tank door, if this gets plugged with debris or by bugs the tank can't vent and will not fill....

my 11 Avalanche fuel filler seal ( looks like pop can tab) fell down and seeems to cause similar problem…0.7 gallons in then stop will update.. checking fuel evap system first
There is a screen or plastic restrictor in the fill pipe and possibly also a rollover valve in the metal pipe between the cap and the tank. Metal tab is most likely stuck in there restricting gas flow into the tank.
