nathankbarber Welcome to the forum
Running it in the factory position is the best... the more space you can put between the line and any heat sources the better... if you can't get any more spacing might try wrapping some heat reflective tape on that portion...

Thanks in2pro what do you mean by factory position? I'm going to see about trying to run it a little further away from the exhaust but with the dual exhaust I'm not sure I can keep it far enough away to make me happy so the heat tape will probably be my best bet. Thanks again

Factory position would be the same path the old hose took. look at routing the hose so that the filter box is close to the top of the fill tube.

my local garage who's always pretty good smoke tested my tahoe, found no leak, replaced gas cap twice, we finally decided to live with the check engine light... (for a year or so) Finally while filling the gas tank gas immediately began spewing back out and it wouldn't take gas but only in small amounts,... found your post and replaced the evap canister.... filled gas tank twice in last ten days without problem and the check engine light has not come back on .....THANKS! $30 and ten minutes

@skcastor - Its under the drivers side, just in front of the gas tank.
