Check engine light code P0449
Here is a somewhat helpful video on the installation of the EVAP vent on a newer Tahoe or Suburban.

He mentions a bridge gap connector. This is GM part # 19257603. You will need this because the New vent assembly has a different electrical connector than the old one. Good luck

Thanks to all that have helped out with usefull info. You guys saved me a lot of money. Once I figured out what parts I needed the install took me no time. Here is the exact parts I used to solve my P0499 problem on my 08 Suburban.
GM # 20995472 - EVAP canister vent/hoses/filter assembly= $71.96
GM # 19257603 - Electrical adapter/harness = $30.14

That is a great How To... However, there is a note to add, when he disconnected the battery the error was cleared..this will work for almost ALL codes.
The vehicle has to be driven several drive cycles before that evap performance check is done again, that is the true test, some OBD readers have the ability to activate the evap system check so that you can truly know if that fixed it on the spot...

ok, i did fix my P0449 code today on my 2007 chevy suburban LT 1500.
New ACdelco EGR solenoid - ACD#214-2236 (GM# 25932567) was about 25-30 bucks from Auto advance parts. 6 inch of hose i used for coupling and 2 clamps cost me $2.5.
1, 15 min. take out spare tire (hmmm, why everything must be that difficult )
)
2, 5 min. remove old solenoid - cut one pipe on left, disconnect hose on right and disconnect electric connector.
3, 5 min. put new solenoid on place, using rubber hose coupling put pipe back on EGR (left socket) and connect flex pipe on right side (just click back in) and plug connector back in.
4, 5 min. spare tire back (i learn so quick)
)
5, deleted codes with OBD II reader.
Check engine light is GONE !!!!
I made short video and will post it later.

Welcome to the forum,
The error codes are the same for your vehicle but the items will be in different places on your vehicle but the above troubleshooting and tips should get you in the right directions... If you are vested in fixing your own vehicle getting the factory manuals is the best first step as they will give your first hand info on the locations of the items...You might also check EBay for electronic manuals as well... I can move your post to the Impala portion of the forum if you'd like...

From what I've read, it's more than likely the vent valve solenoid due to me frequently topping off and/or driving in dirty conditions. Is this what I need?
