Chirping noise coming from driver side
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum, just picked up a 2005 Chevy Suburban last week and I believe I first noticed this issue this past Friday or Saturday. I had pulled into a parking spot, turned the car off and the radio was still going. (I should add this happens even with the key out of the ignition and the radio off.) I noticed this chirping noise coming from the driver's side, it sounds like it's coming from around the instrument cluster. When it initially started it sounded like it was coming from the right-hand side. Today the same thing happened, I pulled into a parking spot didn't get out of the car right away, and noticed that it was there again. I believe the only thing both incidents have in common with the 2 times this has happened is the temperature has been fluctuating up and down so I turned the heat on both of these mornings. Today it sounded like it was still coming from the same area on the right-hand side. I started driving again and the noise was there while I was driving. It's not happening a lot, there's no consistent time interval between the chirping. When I recorded the video that I attached to this post it took me about 1 minute and 12 seconds to capture it happening, the video is not that long just a heads up I did edit it. I got to my next destination and started recording the video, by this time it sounded like it was coming more so from the left-hand side in between the steering column and the headlight controls. I'm wondering if anybody else has experience with this same issue and if so do you know the cause of it?

I was wondering that myself, I'm not exactly sure how I would go about diagnosing that I'd have to look into it. One thing I did notice on two occasions I thought maybe it was just a flute the first time around and I misheard it but it was definitely there the second time because I just ran it over to a shop to try to find an estimate for a rear main oil seal, which is a story for another day, but when I got out of the car I pulled the key out of the ignition it the chirping noise came in a triplet but it sounded more awkward It's hard to explain unless I capture it on on a video. Don't know what that was about.
