Exclamation Did I Mess up bad?

Hi Ya'll
So I got a new burb 1999 k2500 7.4l V8 and went to replace the ECT sensor. First time replacing the sensor, took the old one out and quickly threw the new one in so I didn't have to drain the coolant. Here's the stress. I screwed it in allll the way till the nut part met the manifold. I was expecting it to stop before then but it just kept going so I kept turning. Now its stripped (i think) and wont come out, just keeps turning.
Now the questions.

Is the sensor so far in it, it would be pushing or messing with the thermostat?
Is it just turning because the threads have cleared and the smooth part after the thread is what its sitting on?
Can i take off the thermostat housing and thermostat, then push the sensor from inside to get it to thread back out?

Im thinking about using Hi temp JB weld and sealing the sensor into the manifold lol. I'll replace the manifold later and change out fuel injectors and gaskets although I was told 6yrs ago engine was replaced. maybe gaskets and hoses but it doesn't look like a completely different block
