Default Door sensor issue possibly??

I've noticed recently that my dash says rear right door open while the door is actually closed and then just today it started say passenger door open and the passenger door is actually closed. So anyone have any idea why this is happening?? Now I have two doors that it says are open, even though I'm sure they're closed. Possible sensor issue?? An easy fix or do I need a mechanic??

Welcome from Florida. It probably is the door switch that is bad. With the dash saying the door is open, open the door and push the door switch and see if the dash warning goes away. Sometimes the door switches get touchy and need to be push a little further in.

What year and model vehicle is this? You can also get year round info at ALLDATAdiy.com.

You can also attempt a reset by removing both battery cables and waiting about 15 seconds, touch the cable ends together and then reinstall to see what happens.
