Texas would be more lenient IMO than CA and the east coast states that require CA emissions.
The different frequencies for remotes might be an issue here, I don't know what things use what here vs there as to avoid weird things happening.
A quick Google showed some company's specializing shipping from say the UAE and they say underbody needs steam cleaning to enter the US for example. They would probably your best resource for info as they do it all the time.

 

Yeah, from the reply that I got from GM that I posted earlier it seems pretty straightforward and not costly at all. I am just not sure if this might be leaving some important things, like the emissions, out.
Google was my first step and the importers I contacted basically said that they EITHER need to know what exactly is different in order to tell me how much it will be OR need a letter from the manufacturer stating that the vehicle conforms to the US standards in DOT safety and EPA standards... If only I knew what the engine family No was that would bring me forward a big step...

I guess I could just risk it and take a gamble on whether I will be able to register it without too many modifications and for a reasonable price.

 

With the differences you will have no resale value here with an Arabic import so factor that in also. That's even if you can get someone to buy it here.
