My wife has a 95 Suburban with 190k on it and all of the sudden it has starting surging after going from high RPM to low RPM. It seems to me like this is a fuel filter issue, as it throws no SES light. If the fuel pump was not going correctly, it would throw a SES light, right?

It gets to highway speed fine, but misses pretty bad once it is up to speed, and now even at idle.

Any help is greatly apreciated.
