Unhappy Front end shakes ONLY when towing.

Hello all, new to the forum and Chevy Truck's. I bought a 99 Suburban LT, truck is rock solid, and clean. It's been to several front end specialist, some with 45 years experience. Truck's steering wheel and dashboard shake violently ONLY when towing. I tow, or I should say, try to tow a small jon boat trailer( Ventura), at 45mph the front ends starts to shake. It gets worse the faster I go. Shake lessens when speeds are 40mph and below. Ventura trailer is brand new. I also have another small homemade trailer that I was towing and thought that trailer was a problem but, it happens when I tow anything at all, no matter how light the tongue weight is.
I have a ghost! Please help.

Only thing I could think of is death wobble. Which for other trucks needs an upgrade for the steering linkage

Pauforpaws, did you find a solution to your issue? We have exactly the same symptoms on a ‘97 Suburban.

shakes thru the steering wheel are front tire and steering linkage related. shake thru the dash can be rear tire, ujoint/driveshaft related. towing can change driveline angle so start with a ujoint check.

Feedback much appreciated. We recently replaced the driveshaft due to abnormal wear, I’ll have the mechanic check the ujoint.
