Default Headlight assembly 2007 Burb

Is there any way to separate the headlight assembly to get to the screw on the inside. This screw is in front of the H11 bulb. Plastic is loose.

Guys have sperated them by putting it in oven for five minutes and then prying the two pieces apart. You have to put a popsicle stick in (to maintain gap)and reheat every few minutes. It takes awhile to completely seperate. Sounds like you just need a little though...

I wouldn't go that route. Can't you pull the bulbs and shake the screw out through one of the holes.

Have you tried pulling the bulb and putting a shopvac over the hole???? That usually does the trick.

I was just rereading this and wondering if you are trying to remove the screw and not retrieve it after it was loose. In the remove it case, you will have to heat and split the clear lens from the housing.

Sounds as if the screw needs to be tighten and not removed. The baking trick works but it will take some time to remove the lens and also to reseal the lens. It can be kinda messy going back together, unless you take your time. There is also the fear ofthe lens not sealingas well.Try not to touch anything on the inside of the lamp housing.Oil's from your hands can cause little landing pads for any dust or dirt that might enter the housing during the reconstruction on the lamp. All in All, its not a bad project just alot of little things need to be looked out for.Is your warranty up?
