I know we can't paint the plastic that the lower mirror bottoms and running boards are made of. But you can paint chrome with the proper primer/adhesion promoter. Something to consider.

Hey thats an idea!!! Get the chrome lower mirror caps, scuff them up and paint them white. Who will be the first to do this????

If you use something like RM 811 adhesion promoter, you shouldn't need to scuff. Then if you decide you don't like it, you can just strip the paint and go back to chrome. Maybe even sell them to biglg.

For what it's worth I like the chrome handles. Ties in with the grill and and rims great. I wouldn't want much more chrome thou. Just my opinion. And when you say the DVD system was really easy to install Can I ask how easy is relly easy.Did you have to take much of the interior apart? I'd love to put them in!

The dvd systemwas pretty easy, took me about an hour and a half. They come with instructions, some of it hard to understand. You need to take the backs of the seats off, they pop off by following the instructions. You will need to take the back of the center console off (if you have one), part of it unclips and then you have four screws. Then you will have to pop the cup holder and tray out of the center console and thats it. You then run the wires, put the headrest in and plug everything together.

Sounds easy enough. So the Tahoe is already pre wired I take it? Just plug everything in? When we were shopping for a new Tahoe we really wanted a DVD system for the kids. We test drove one with the DVD player on the roof and the kids fell in love with it. I didn't care for the one screen option and we found another color Tahoe we liked better....no DVD though. I've been catching heck for it ever since! The dealer offered to install the system you have for a mere $2600. I like your way better!!

DEI,
not really prewired, you run the wire harness, but it does just plug into one of the fuse boxes under the dash. No splicing or anything like that.Plus with this sytem you can watch two movies at the same time, so your kids dont fight over wich movie to watch.

Biggmon,
Fight over what to watch? You do know my kids. Yeah, in the 8 or so hours we test drove that other Tahoe I do recall a few arguments between them. I'll have to keep an eye on ebay now just in case one comes up. Thanks for the info!
