Default list your junkyard finds

Went to the junkyard today to look for stuff.
Came home with a jack and a full set of factory fender flares for the Suburban. Why are all the jacks gone in the Pic A Part yard??
The right rear flare will cover some minor fenderwell dents that are there from the previous owner's son.
I also snagged some spare relays, fuses, and 12 volt accessory plug caps.
Next will be front and rear bumpers if I get ambitious.

A lot of GM vehicles did not come with spare tires and jacks. It was a option on cars for a doughnut spare, they came with a can of sealer and a compressor stock. My '15 Malibu has that set up in it. Doughnut and jack was a $300 option.
At the JY folks grab any jack they can find, a lot of ''thrifty'' people grab them also, need them to get a vehicle up on cement block jack stands. Bigger vehicle the bigger the jack.

Every time I go to a salvage yard I ALWAYS leave with a pocket full of fuses and relays. I also grab bulbs I can get out.

I always wondered what happened to the jacks in any of the used trucks I've bought over the years. Can only recall 2 out of probably 15 that had jacks, and one of those two it was the wrong jack and wouldn't work on the truck!

The salvage yards will remove the jacks and sell separately because they are easy to gather and people are always looking for them. The rest of what are great sellers are also removed by them and stored for sale. The low sellers and very hard to get at stay in the rig on the lot.

JACKS:
If the Pic A Part yard removes them to sell....where are they?
There's no jack display up front nor do I see them for sale anywhere locally, ie craigslist. I mean really. How much can they be worth?
They charged me $5. I was even looking in Fords because they use the crank up bottle style also.
When I say no jacks..I mean every make or model. Even the lug wrenches and crank poles are all gone....
The fact that I found one was amazing.

EDIT...I just looked on ebay....I guess they sell for a pretty penny.

There is that but they also keep a supply in the back storage areas. Just because not on display does not mean they are not for sale out of the back room. If you are not seeing jacks and handles in the rigs on the lot, well then someone is buying them.

I'll add the JY doesn't want you jacking up vehicles in the yard with those jacks. Liability issue's there if someone gets hurt.
