Default Navigation questions

Sorry I'm sure this has been asked before but I cant seem to find the answer with searches here.

Does the navigation system require a subscription?

If there's a vid or website that describes all the details of functions that would be great...

2007 - 2011 suburban. Are there significant differences in these 4 years or are they all pretty much the same?

I have an '07 with the newest DVD update = same navigation as the '11 except the other a/v improvements that come with the new model. just like every navigation for other makes there is a yearly update you can buy that adds new roads, updated maps and new points of interest.

you should be able to google 2007 tahoe navigation manual (or something like that) if you want more information on other details

Check Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book for the differences.

Are you asking about just the Sat Nav or the whole vehicle?!

Default 2011

the 2011 added a USB port to the sat nav. for playing of music / ipod.

that's it as far as I am aware.

the 2011 disc also includes a firmware update for the 2007-2010 models, so you want that disc.

I find it interesting they put the USB inside the center console.

It appears the nav faceplate also pulls out from the head unit differently now too
