Need advice asap!
hey all. make a long story short. i puchased an slp exhaust system for my 2010 tahoe. after the auction ended i got a message from the seller saying they dont have any more of these exhausts for my tahoe and that there was a mistake. they have one for a 2010 suburban and they said they will issue a partial refund or a full one. i told them to just send it to me anyways because they said i can cut the pipe and have a muffler shop re weld it and add the hanger where it needs to be.........this is very do able and easy right?
I would think so if you get a good shop. Especially if you have your resonator cut off. All they'll have to do is match it.
Like to hear it when you get it on.
How much was it? Last time I checked at SLP, it was about $149.

wow then i got ripped i paid 420 w shipping. that was the cheapest i could get it. didnt even know they made exhausts for the tahoe that cheap. its a cat back exhast with a dual tip side swept right side exit. the muffler outlet is dual and then merges back to one. its the SLP powerflow exhaust. is the resonator the big can on the tailpipe?. that hangs lower than the rear bumper and is really ugly haha. also when i was looking under the truck earlier at the exhaust system (stock one) i noticed another similar looking peice in front of the muffler after the two cats. what is that thing?
I didn't realize you got the cat-back exhaust. The piece I was talking about replaces the resonator (big can thing) w/ a straight pipe w/ two chrome tips that exit out the side.
There's the main cat in front of the muffler and two pup cats up at the exhaust manifolds. They're the ones that lite off quicker cuz they heat up faster.
BTW you can paint the resonator w/ hi-temp black paint and cut down on the visibility of it.
