New (used) Surburban owner questions
Hello everyone, I brand new to the forum and am need of some info.
I recently purchased a 2019 Suburban Premier which I love, but it is supposed to have the max towing package, and it rides like a log wagon. I see no onboard way to adjust the suspension, so I assume I will have to replace the springs and/or shocks to get the ride a lot 't less harsh. When looking for replacement springs, I see suspension codes required to get the proper springs. I don't see anything in the documentation that came with it that has the option code listing. Is it possible to get the listing online or from Chevy.
Thanks in advance for your help
Dennis

Yes, the TPM display is showing 32 psi all around.
The truck is supposed to have the Max Towing package, and I wonder if that is the source of the harsh ride.
I'm going to the local Chevy dealer this afternoon to talk to them about it.
Thanks.

I have discovered that after a tire rotation the sensors continue giving the old readings instead of the new one. One of my tires was actually at 48 psi and it showed that it was low.
Discount Tires will check and make sure the sensors are operating properly. Oh and in my case the tire rotation was done at a dealer and they didn't properly program them afterwards.

I went to the Chevy dealer this afternoon, and the tech said that the electronic shocks are locked up and have to be replaced. They want $4800 to replace them, so I went to my local alignment shop and he is working on an estimate for me. Hopefully, it will be cheaper than what Chevy wants.

My guess is $4800 is just a sucker price: DEALER. We have a 2014 now, never go to a dealer.....
Talked to the local alignment shop this morning, and he was aghast at the prices of the electronic/magnetic shocks. He gave me a quote of $4300, but said he is checking on some compatible alternatives to those that will work and not cause suspension error codes to pop up.
