Synthetics have a lot of advantages over conventional, I believe that is why many auto manufactures are starting to require synthetic blends and full synthetics for all newer models after 2011

In Europe, synthetics are pretty much all the have and require. Oil change intervals there are 10,000-20,000 miles and have been for many years. I also have a motorhome that recommends 3,000 miles oil change intervals. AMSOIL recommends 15,000 miles/1 year intervals, which I did. I had the oil analyzed and it came back that it was good for continues use! I now run AMSOIL synthetics in my boat, motorcycle, generator, lawn mower and other car and just change oil and filter in all once a year as that is the maximum time AMSOIL warranties without oil analysis.

I've used Amsoil, think they have great products. I've also had oil analysis done in various gas and diesel vehicles over the years.
I think the effort to extend oil changes to intervals like you mentioned makes no sense, especially without installing remote filtration. Want to change synthetic oil at 7,000 miles (which I do on a diesel vehicle)? Ok. Want to do analysis and extend that to 10,000 miles? Ok. For the price of oil and filters, to go beyond that makes no sense to me. The cost savings is so small that why do I want to push the limits of the oil, and limits of the filter, to a point where I may be putting an engine that would cost many thousands to replace in jeopardy?
I'm not telling you what to do, just suggest that others be cautious before pushing their oil change intervals too far.
