I have replaced the sensor, cam gear, battery cables, ecm and still get the same code All work done by the dealer.
Anyone have any thoughts?

 

• Cam sensor wiring routed too close to spark plug wiring (causing interference)
• Poor wiring connection at cam sensor
• Poor wiring connection at PCM
• Problem in the wiring harness

Or bad sensor. Check(yea I know it's new or replaced) it should have around 1k ohms resistance, and the magnet on the tip should pick up small screws.

 

I am going to throw in more details. The CEL doesn't come on until you drive about 25 miles and are at lower speeds and get this...when you turn left. The rpm will jump around to about 1700 and then the engine will stall. Fires right back up and no issues at highway speeds. Clear the code until it happens again. I quit driving it. I don't want anyone to run into me when it stalls.

 

Since you are not driving it, I'd park it at the dealer till they fix it.

 

Actually they have had it for 6 weeks now, When I drove it home and the problem reoccurred again I just left it at home. They are trying to get some more info at GM but I thought maybe someone on a forum might have a possible answer. I have a very good dealer, A very good service department who treats me very well.

 

There is a connector between the harmonic balancer and power steering pump. It has some oil on it from a leak from the timing cover. This is supposed to be a weather tight connector but I am wondering if this could be my issues.
