Default Painted front bow tie.

Well finally got it done. The paint seems to be a shade darker. But in my opinion still looks better than the fugly yellow color from before. Here are a few pics. What you guys think?

Lot better than the OEM gold. It almost looks like the gold is trying to show thru. Could just be the lite tho.

Yeah, it is the paint color I am sure. It is amazing how the can lids arent very close to the color. I do think it is better than the gold though.

What you could do is call the dealer. They can order a 5oz can of paint to match. Might take 7-10 days to get though. But it will match. Once you get the paint, just use the same process and paint over the current color! I had to do this on one of my bowties. I chose a close match white paint before I knew the paint code and I painted right over it with no issues. Prep/clean, adhesion promotor, paint, clear coat!

Looks good, way better then the gold one. I think I like painted ones better than the all chrome ones.

Do you have to remove the emblem to paint or can you tape and paint ?

Have to? Probably not, however it only takes 5 minutes to take off. So it would be much faster and easier to take it off rather than try taping it off! Good luck and let me know if you have any questions with the painting process!

I just ordered the matching paint from the dealer. I will be doing it again this weekend.
