Rear Emblem for 2007 Tahoe
I did this, so this is from experience not what I've heard. The rear emblem is two pieces. A large "chrome" emblem with a smaller plastic emblem in the cneter. The plastic emblem is clear with a gold foil stuck to the back. This outer emblem is held on by spots of glue/tape.
Take a small length of fishing line and work it in behind the outer plastic emblem. Use a sawing motion to "cut" throught the glue/tape as you work across the emblems. Most of mine was at the center of the outer bowtie. The outer emblem will pull right off once you get to the other side. Underneath you will reveal the under/larger emblem which does not have any holes in it.
If you remove the entire chrome and gold emblems as one unit --on the painted surface you will find holes.

No you can't. Once you remove the nuts from the back of the bowtie (from behind grille) the outer gold bowtie and black edge come off. They reveal a larger chrome outline with two large holes in the center where the posts went thru to the inside of the grille.
I tried this myself. No pics though.

Thank you Tractor77. We just pulled off the gold on the rear emblem and you are right it looks just like the front one we ordered from the dealership. It was so easy. I actually like it better than the front emblem because it's flatter.
There is a replacement out there now. I have to find it again......but there is one. Ok go to www.stylinconcepts.com They have one there. Good luck
