Default Rear hatch issue.

The "rear access open" indicator on my display on the gauges stays on all the time, even when the rear access is closed. I've made sure it's closed well, and it stays lit, along with my interior lights because it thinks the hatch is open. How would we go about fixing this??
Thanks in advance for any responses.

i have the exact same problem. i just took apart my carpet and cushion and pulled out the side panels because i spilled food allover. now that its back together the rear access door stays open. im thinking i disconnected a wire in the process. does anyonw know how the wirign is run on a 2007 chevy tahoe and where the sensors are at for the rear accesss open warning?

Welcome to the forum,
I believe the door open sensor is located in the latch/lock assembly similar to how the vehicle doors are...

Default RE: hatchback

does anyone know where i can get a wirign diagram so i can see where the wires are run exactly from the front to the rear hatch for the "rear access Open" warning on my console. im wondering if i accidentally disconnected any wires when i pulled out my side panels or carpet or anything like that.
