Service 4wd/TCCM Repair?
Hey guys,
long time lurker but first time poster. I have a 99 GMC suburban 5.7 335k miles NP8. I live in North Dakota and I've recently been getting a service 4wd light on the dash seemingly when the temperature is below freezing. Scanned the code with a snappy scanner at work and came up with a c0367 (front axle control circuit high). When the service 4wd light is on selecting any mode but 2hi results in that selection flashing and no shifting.
I have a basic Bluetooth obd code reader that I can use to clear the code. Once the code is gone I shift into whatever mode I wish. It seems like the code appears when I park the vehicle in 4wd. My questions are: do I just replace the TCCM and call it a day? If so should I try my luck on a used module? Or is it possible to dissemble the module and resolder some connections? I wouldn't mind trying to open the TCCM up, but I have no idea which connections would need to be soldered. I've searched the forums and Google extensively and it has led me here. Thanks in advance
