Service Traction Control - Stabilitrak and ABS light, Help
#111
2007 Tahoe LTZ 5.3L flex
Symptoms:
Gauges bouncing, Stabilitrak, ABS, Door Locks, traction control off, service suspension, service 4 wheel drive, park assist off, hard shift from 1st to 2nd, no auto 4x4, no cruise or back up camera.
Checked and tested all fuses, relays and switches all tested good.
Reset ECM
New:
Battery
Alternator
Negative Battery cable
Positive cable
Ignition switch
Plugs
Wires
Mega Fuse 175a
LAN wire terminating resistor
Cleaned ground points and other connection points:
Mega fuse connections
Front engine to battery ground
Frame to battery ground
Body to engine ground / tried new strap as well
Front driver’s side cab corner window ground behind pillar cover
Frame ground under drivers side door.
Pulled fuse #2 in main fuse box under hood (ESC/ALC EXH) (electronic suspension control/auto level control exhaust) this controls the exhaust valve on the compressor. After doing so all symptoms stopped malfunctioning and I was left with a check engine light and service suspension light. I was able to drive it to work with no other issues. I will update and expanded on the root cause after I am able to dig in a bit deeper this week but wanted to put my findings out there to assist others in the meantime.

example; the ABS/ Stabiltrack &Traction Control . ALL THAT............is coming from the same module— 🤓😒😒so it’s triggers ALL them lights—
if a wheel speed sensor was out?
—
You’ll get ABS-STABILTRACK-Traction Control light—
I would check the EVAP - the sensor behind where u put in gas—check ur o2 sensors—massive air flow sensor—replace every single filter possible so Tahoe can breathe- Go n put some Lucas & Shell Nitro Premium Gas- burn that tank -I think you’ll be good if not??then spark plug & wires & coils-ur motor is MOST DEFINITELY NOT TRASH- just gotta do some spiffin up on it..... but all this is just my personal opinion..
but to narrow it all down on the 1st try?? I bought the OBD-2 BlueDriver Scan Tool-–free App on ur phone..is pretty damn good for just 99 bux-
Arrived the SAME DAY delivered to my door from Amazon— Man this thing has Saved me..it checks and reads every Sensor -every Module- even ABS / it can reset the Air Bag light- can even read enhanced codes -last time anyone reset the lights- even why they reset em—-does Live Reading while driving-and if u know a bit about Scan Tools— this dang thing has “Mod6” available. It Checks if you’ll pass Emssions- reads everything.it can reset any/every single light/sensor possible.. So after u fix this issue? Sometimes the lights clear themselves out after repairs— but just trust me— buy the BlueDriver Justanothergearhead..even enhanced codes could be read everything — and then it’ll tell u what the top 10 repairs are for ur particular issue from A.S.E. Certified and Master Mechanics
to top it off it even guides u to the proper part at an affordable price— oh yea— it TELLS U HOW MUCH ITS GONNA COST!! ..

I was getting the similar messages on my 2007 Suburban 1500 LTZ; traction control off, service stabilitrack, service brake system, with very frequent (and extended) dinging with the messages. Someone mentioned on one of the forums his was caused by low brake fluid in which someone responded and said that couldn't be it. My brake fluid was about 1/16 inch below the minimum mark, I filled it to the max mark and it has completely stopped the dinging and error messages. Too bad I rode around for a month with the dinging!
These forums are awesome!!

Chevy Tahoe LTZ 2010
I have a 2010 Chevy Tahoe LTZ I had my tire changed and shortly after that problems started. The Check Engine Light came on, ABS light came on, Brake light came on, Service Four Wheel Drive came on, All of the other lights came on. The speedometer jumps up and down. Took it to a mechanic and after a week he said he could not find anything wrong with it. After 3 dealers we have had the battery changed, battery cables changed, wiring harness replaced and module under the spare tire, rack and pinon steering replaced, and numerous other things replaced. Still nothing fixed the problems. Now they are changing the Fuse Panel under the hood stating that will fix the problem. It has cost over $3300 so far. I have contacted Chevy customer service and was referred to a Jonathan who didn't care. He called and after leaving him messages 3 or 4 times he never calls back. Does anyone have any ideas? Why can't a Chevy Mechanic figure things out.

Response to your lights issue

One time I only got my tires rotated....they did it on a lift- after driving away...................................
“Check This and Check that- Service This and Service That Lights Came On....the Traction Control and Stabilitrak Disabled- I drove RIGHT back assuming they did something to get more business-
but they pulled out this huge touchscreen diagnostic machine—. I looked at the trouble codes and I guess the lift set off some sensors w/ suspension.
Too much of a coincidence.. so I went and reset all the codes—- my Tahoe went right back into being normal- I just needed to relearn my tires so the computer could tell me what the psi was in each particular tire position. Voila I was on my way without any issues..
I got me a scan tool called a “BlueDriver” on Amazon for bout hundred bucks and that thing read everything that that couple thousand dollar diagnostic tool read- and was able to reset any issues/ sometimes the computer gets confused and needs to be sorted out I guess you can say-
changing too many things on the Tahoe as you’ve done/ in my opinion would further confuse the computer without relearning certain sensors as they are changed.

Thank you for your reply. After the tire's being replaced we took it back to Belle Tire and they reset the tire sensors but it did not work. At the present the car has been in the shop for 3 weeks and they are working on it They have recently replaced the fuse panel under the hood and all of the lights are gone but now there is another problem. Hopefully something will be figured out in the next week or so. It is sad when Chevy doesn't even know how to fix the cars that they sell. Luckily we found a mechanic that is doing his best to get it fixed.

I had this same problem.
I replaced my rear shocks with OEM re-manufactured Arnott shocks (great company) and in the process inadvertently disconnected a plug on the driver's side, inside frame, near the shock tower.
After reading this post I recalled that I disconnected a plug on the passenger side in the same area but noticed it and reconnected it. It gave me "service stabilitrak", "service autoride suspension", "tracking control off", ABS light was on, and maybe one other error.
After reconnecting all errors where gone.

Thank you
Hey guys,
Not sure if this is going to apply to many/any of you, but, I recently changed my rear shock and had the same lights all come on. I searched exhaustedly online and found a whole bunch of useless solutions about reseting the codes by disconnecting the battery to replacing VSS (I didn't even bother with the last one). It seems nobody wants to post the error they made while working back there (or at least the one I did), above the shock tower on the back side where it is impossible to see, there is a connection that controls all of this and is very easy to unplug not so easy to plug.
Perhaps this is the issue you are having being intermittent and being effected by water and WD40, maybe it wouldn't hurt to clean these contacts, put some di-electric grease on them and re connect. could be a lot less trouble then having the dealership look at it endlessly.
Sorry to all if this is not the appropriate spot for this post, my internet is painfully slow (I live out in the sticks) but if someone else can fix it or place it where it needs to be I and probably others with this problem would appreciate it.
Good luck and thanks for the space and knowledge base!

Stabilitrak and abs lights on
Hey guys, this is probably not useful to all but for some. I changed all shocks and struts on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. After it was completed I turned on the truck and the Stabilitrak light and ABS light came on. I looked online and saw everyone's thread on the topic. So I went back under the Tahoe, retraced my steps and found that I had disconnected the wires that are in the rear shocks on both side the passenger and driver side. So I disconnected my battery reconnected the the wire plugs. Connected my battery and turned on the Tahoe. Now all the lights are off and everything is back to normal. If anyone has questions or needs pictures I can take some to show you one of the main issues for it and who knows that might be all you need.
