Default suburban tail lights

hello all,

I have an 07 suburban LTZ. I am having an issue with my tail lights not flashing when I hit the lock button on the transmitter. They flash with the unlock and work normally otherwise. the mirror arrows and front lamps flash with the lock and unlock. I just cant tell from the rear if the vehicle started or locked. anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance for any replies

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon XL which had a somewhat similar problem. Are both of your license plate light working? That was the issue with mine.
