I'm moonlighting from the on-life-support area (Suburban), but I'd love to see:

1. An overhead 12v switched connector for radar detectors.
2. 110v outlets for front, 2nd row, and in the rear... but keep the multiple 12v outlets.
3. Sirius!
4. Hands-free minutes compatibility with other cell carriers.
5. Forget #4, gimme Bluetooth hands-free with address book integration.
6. Option to set remote unlock to driver only or all doors.
7. Option to disable seat belt warning. I don't wear it on the beach at 5 MPH, y'know?
8. Make barn doors an option.
9. Retractable glass on rear hatch. (WTF do I want the lift glass for when the whole hatch lifts???)
10. Less super-gigantic badging.
11. LTZ option other than cheap-looking fake woodgrain. Has that ever fooled anybody?
12. Fog lights tied to auto-on headlights. (For months at a time here, it's foggy every morning, guaranteed.)
13. Steal Mercedes' automatic distance-monitoring cruise control. It's great for highway travel.
14. Seat memory recall buttons that function when you're driving. It's far less distracting than trying to reposition myself after I've started driving when I realize I forgot to hit the button.
15. Built-in 4-pin towing connector right next to the 7-pin barrel connector. I have trailers with both and I keep losing adapters.
16. More tie-down points in the rear. Check out a cheapo little Dodge Nitro. It has about a thousand D-rings.

This one is Suburban only -- the retractable cargo area cover in back fits into slots just under the back windows. One slot is for when the third-row seats are installed and "open". The other is apparently only usable when the third-row seats are completely removed. But if you had positioned the slots just half an inch further back -- maybe not even that much -- you'd be able to install the cover with the third row seats in the "tumble forward" position. It strikes me as bizarre that it comes so close, but misses. I mean, it's injection molded plastic. Fix the mold. Geez.

Your two remote fobs are coded to your two memory positions. You shouldn't have to hit the button unless you are using someone else's fob.

Thanks... Hmm... when does it move the seat? Upon unlock, or key insertion, or what? I haven't ever noticed the seat move automagically, although that'd be great. Is it something that I can reset or test?

Without checking, I believe it does it upon unlocking with the remote. They used to put a number on the back that correlated with the buttons but now you have to figure it out by trial and error. []

Reference #9 above. I need the lift glass because I can't lift the whole gate while in my garage. I can retrieve or add items while still in the garage. ie add golf clubsthe night beforenot as I back out in a.m.

Your point is well taken though. Keep it the way it is until they add the roll down rear glass. It would allow the same thing.

Hey 73shark, thanks for taking the time to reply. Today I hit the memory 1 for my seat position, then hit unlock on my remote and sure enough it went to my wife's position in mem 2. Since she drives it as much as I do, I was just assuming I caught it behind her -- I didn't realize the remotes were tied in. I still think the buttons ought to function while driving (it isn't like it was a problem in the other seventy jillion cars I've owned) but this certainly alleviates the annoyance factor!

An option to program side mirrors to automatically fold in when you take key out of ignition....
I second that!!! This should be on every new tahoe no matter what model.

[&:]
Given the fact that I will be getting a new 2008 hybrid hoe, I would pray for the following items...

1. FOB specific memory settings (seats, mirrors, radio, temp control <-- steal from benz)
2. USB/firewire support for add on external hard drive (mp3 support and videos <-- steal from Kenwood Keg design)
3. More power outlets, 1 per seat at least. (I second the recommendation for a few overhead, ie the radar detector)
4. I second the auto on fog lights.
5. Auto down control for all windows (drivers panel control)
6. Auto up control for all windows (drivers panel control)
7. Window rollup when vehicle is armed by key FOB.
8. HID lights a must.
9. Go back to quick key light assembly removal. (New method is just ridiculous, way to complex for something so simple before...)
10. Sirus radio. Stop forcing XM on us. Just make them SAT ready.
11. Additional radio/NAV controls from steering wheel
12. Removal of the magnified chevy (crap tastic) badge from the rear gate.
13. HUD (heads up display)
14. DAT (driver assist techology)
15. Cold/chilled center console box or glove box
16. Capability of carrying a 26" matching spare.
17. A grocery carry net or cargo carrier option
18. Backup warning sensors and forward assist sensors
19. Automatic folding mirrors with key removal and adjustable puddle lighting
20. I agree, steal the automatic cruise control!!!! Every vehicle should have this!!
21. Last but not least, Improve on the NAV/Audio units expandability options. Want / Need additional AV input and radar features into unit display.

How about adding a tire pressure monitor to the spare tire, so that I can check it just like the others instead of dropping the spare or crawling under it every oil change to check the pressure. Better yet, since I bought a Tahoe with OnStar, delete the spare, force us to use road side assistance and give me fold away 3rd row seats.

On the 2007s, the spare valve stem faces down so easier to check pressure.

Greetings, new Tahoe owner here.

I have had a few conversations with Dave and am learning the ropes regarding all the different discussion threads.

I agree 1 or 2 USB ports that tie into the audio system are a must and could be tauted as a green initiative as it would virtually elminiate the need to burn cd's, mp3 discs or DVD's. One can easily dump multiple data files on to a 32GB USB thumb drive and make as many changes as you like without filling the local landfill with old disc's. It would also eliminate the need to carry those old CD albums and reduce potential theft from auto's.

With the cost of thumb drives now, dealers could brand their own and give them away as a marketing tool.

Move the heated seat controls to the centre console
How about only one button for the sunroof like BMW? Thierthe single button does everything the Tahoe's two does.
How about one button down and one button up for all windows, all aroundinstead of the cheesy one button down only for the drivers window?

Those are my first impressions.

For those looking for a cheap hands free option I use a BlackBerry Pearl that also is a MP3 player that I have put a 4GB micro SD card in (45 albums/600 songs +/-). It has a 3.5mm audio out jack that ties in very nicely with the AUX in jack on the dash. When in Aux mode you can play mp3's and make hands free calls through the audio system, while using your cell phone's minutes.

ps. I do like the Tahoe.
