Default Temporarily pull brights stalk in and they stay on! Multiple dead batteries

So, I have an 07 Tahoe and when I pull the turn signal in, as if I am flashing my brights, they seem to stay on almost 90% of the time. Since when we exit the vehicle, the outside lights stay on for 30 sec, making seeing the brights are still very difficult. Also - the Blue idicator on the dash also does not show up which has made this more difficult to prevent.

Problem is, this has caused a sh*tload of battery drainages. Has anyone had this problem, or can add valuable insight to a solution?

FYI - I just had a BCM Body Control Module refresh performed at the dealer and this problem is still occuring consistently.

TIA

You can turn the exit lites off in the DIC. At least then you will be able to see if the brights are still on. I'd go back to the dealer and ask them what's wrong.

Did it do this before the BCM update? If so, did you tell the dealer service then?

Default Thanks - yes, it was doing it prior to the BCM flash as well

Any other ideas?

Default Update - changed the turn signal stalk and still have the same problem

I have pulled the brights fuses as a temporary fix. Anything else that may be causing this problem?

I am going to try to find a friend with the same lights relay in the fusebox and swap.

Default replaced relay and still have this problem. Really surprised nobody else here has

run across the same problem. I'm subscribed to this thread, so if anyone can figure it out, please let me know.

...not going to waste any money at the dealer trying to figure this out. ...just leaving the fuses pulled for the brights.

I'm wondering if it might be an issue with the headlight/blinker switch assembly. Wonder if the handle is kicking too far forward after you pull it in to the flash position. If you push it forward it tuns the brights on, pulling it back only temporarily turns them on...
maybe the switch/handle is loose or bad... I'd check the steering column assembly where the handle goes in.....

Humm... could try moving the headlamp relays around, other then that I'm wondering if a BCM issue might still be at hand.
Reducing the time in the DIC that the lights are on should help.
Check for any after market items that have or could have been added that may be wired in incorrectly..

IN the fuse box? Already tried this.

DOES NOT.

Done - not the culprit.
