window rolls down on start?
Hi all, we recently purchased an '05 Suburban and are having problems with the rear driver's side window. We've discovered that the window will roll down within 20-30 seconds of either starting the vehicle or just turning the key to the 'ON' position.
My husband says he didn't have this issue until he turned on the automatic climate control today. I thought I would check here and see if anyone has dealt with something similar before he dives in blindly to try and find the problem.
Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
Could be that the door switch has failed in the "DOWN" position. Could check by pulling the switch and unplugging and see if the window still goes down as before. If it doesn't, then probably the switch is defective. If it does, then most likely a wiring short.

73shark offers a great suggestion. If that doesn't work, you may want to take it in for a quick inspection.

I know I'm dredging this up from the depths of oblivion, but it seems we haven't solved the problem yet. I guess we assumed the rear driver's side switch was the problem when we disconnected it and had no further issues.
We did end up purchasing a new switch for the rear driver's side window (we waited until it was warmer out, when we'd actually be using that window)....but the problem persists. At first, we popped in the new switch and nothing happened. No roll-down on start, no roll-down at ALL. Took the switch out, put the original one back in, and nothing again. We figured the problem was elsewhere, so we reconnected the new switch and left everything alone.
A couple days later, one of my kids discovered that the window would roll up/down using that switch only. I couldn't control it at all from the driver's door panel. Then a day or so after that, the window began rolling down on vehicle start again. We disconnected the switch and are back at square one.
Where's the electrical gremlin hiding? Is it the driver's window switch panel? I lean towards not, but right now I just don't have a lot of ideas.
Thoughts?
