Default 2000 Chevy Tracker has clicking sound when off

My 2000 Chevy Tracker will make a clicking sound in the Crankshaft pos sensor when it is off followed by a dead battery. Battery is new but will go dead after a day or two of being parked. The only clue is that the crankshaft pos. sensor is warm and clicking prior to going dead. Any ideas? Mr. D.

Check the sensor for a short. Disconnect the wire connector, with an ohmeter across the pins should be around 1K. I would think with the key off it wouldn't cause this.
