Default Clicking sound when starting off from a dead stop.

Hello, I have a 96 GMC 2wd Burb and it started to click when I would start driving from a dead stop. Then when it shifts to the 2nd gear it stops. I took it to pepboys(which I will never do again) They said drive shaft. I replaced it and the u joints and it still made the noise. Took it back to pepboys they said it was the tranny. I took it to a tranny guy he said my tranny shifts beautifuly. by this point the noise stopped. It started making the noise again last night , Took the pumpkin cover off to check the rear dif. and there was some metal shavings on the magnet. But nothing major. the gears looked good. No chips. Replaced the cover and a new gasket as well as added some sealent. The truck made the same noise. So we checked the u joint it had play in it. we replaced it again! Then the burb made the same noise!!! I am at witts end with this burb! I need help trying to figure this out! c
