I have a 1998 tracker soft top 2 door. I went to look for the pigtail connector for the trailer lights and there is no connector behind the left taillight. It doesn't have a jack storage area either. Anyone have another option to wire taillights to my trailer?

 

Well that was way more difficult to locate than Chevy should have made it. I had to physically feel all the way back on the wiring harness to find the connector. It was completely buried under tape. Now I'm up and running. Thanks

I have a 2001 4-door Tracker. I don't know how similar the two cars are. I do know some vehicles did not come with a trailer pigtail from the factory.


On my car the factory connector is called C402. It was a little hard to find.


These are the pinouts for the 6-pin connector on my Tracker. If your wire colors are the same you might be able to splice in a connector.

 

I went to O’Reilly Auto Parts and bought ($60) a plug-in “Y” pigtail wire harness for my ‘99 Tracker.
Maybe an auto parts store can hook you up.
