Ok turn key and nothing, just clicking noise, so I am thinking starter is bad.

The weird thing is battery will read 12 to 13 volts, turn key click click...then voltage drops on gauge and remove key and turn to start position and voltage gauge is varying between 8 and 13 volts????

 

Put a load test on your battery and check your battery cables for good connections at both ends.

 

ok I feel Stupid, bad battery. got new one and problem fixed. thanks for the help!!!
