I just installed a hitch on my 2018 AWD traverse LS. It did not come with the towing package and I was under the impression it could tow 5000 pounds. Looking at the manual however it is saying without the tow package kit it can only tow 1500 pounds. What’s the reason for this? I don’t plan on towing with this but was hoping I could if I needed to.
