This fall, the paint started peeling under the rear window in my 2016 Chevy Trax. No scratches or dents or dings where the paint started peeling. It just started cracking and then p

eeled off in 2 big chunks. Anyone had any problems with their paint?

 

seems to be a common problem. GM paint plague.

 

i have the same issue with my trax... Imine is the same color too. Dealer is saying the warranty has expired because we are over the millage.. The cars only 4yrs old gtfo...

 

2016 trax... Same color and appears to be in the same spot. Dealer called back and said there is nothing they can do because my milage is over the warrenty. Looks like Chevy will be havin another lawsuit on there hands. My car is only 4yrs old and im still paying on it. Horrible buisness if you ask me..

 

It's been going on for some time, with various vehicles. No lawsuit.

 

I have an appointment Saturday, but I’m not hopeful after reading these threads. This pics could just as well be pics of my car. Same color. Same issue. Mines 5 years old.

2015 Chevy trax end of Nov 2019 with 64,000 miles. In Feb the paint started coming off while in the driveway! I contacted the dealer and was pushed aside due to the covid19. Now paint is coming off under the back window and both sides of my hood. Guess I'm not alone with paint peeling!

the only small consolation to you is that at least it's peeling on removable parts.

 

Looks almost exactly like mine. 2016 Trax. Funny how it seems to only be the blue!
