1999 Venture sensor problems

I just recently purchased a used 1999 Venture van.
I was told by the seller that it had a bad knock sensor.
I replaced the knock sensor, then cleared the code.
Within 5 minutes of driving, the "service engine soon" light came back on.
My scanning tool came up with a code that was for the camshaft position sensor.
I replaced the camshaft sensor, and once again cleared the code.
This time I drove for 20 minutes before the "service engine soon" light came back on.
This time the code indicates it's the crankshaft position sensor.

If the "service engine soon" light were burned out, I would not know there was a problem because the van runs perfect
Am I missing something?
Is it common for several sensors to fail in the span of 2 weeks?
I haven't replaced the crankshaft sensor yet, and will not until I have a better understanding of this issue.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

CKP positions must be relearned when any of these parts are removed or replaced:

CKP sensor Front cover or bracket holding the crankshaft position sensor

Target wheel (reluctor)

Crankshaft

Engine block

Engine assembly

When you did the cam sensor were any wires stripped and exposed in that harness?

For some genius reason they decided to put them under the main source of corroding insulation!! (the power steering fluid). Anyway, watch Scannerdan on youtube do a P0336 code, and that was his problem.

I don't think that is mine, tho it still acts odd..

I'd also look at the harmonic balancer, they are notorious for failing. There is a rubber sleeve they use between the pulley and the center that gives out, causes the inductor ring to wobble, and also the pulley, which chews your belt up.

If you belt is worn on one side, that is likely the reason, and may also be the problem for your code.

If so, then change the Balancer, I think we got it at the dealer for around $100. (also ONLY Remove them with the actual tool, not any old puller! they can pull just the pulley ring off and leave the rest, or warp it!!) I wouldn't trust aftermarket, tho the dealer sold me a made in china, so who knows. I'd also do the sensor with an Ac/delco, or at least BWD or something non generic. Then, like me, you have to take it to someone with a Pro Code Scanner to do a CKP relearn. (I still havent finished putting it together to get it to a shop to find out if that is my problem or not)

You can read all my problems above, and see sometimes its not exactly what it seems to be if you have shorts or opens, so watch for those too.
