Default Rocker Switch Back Lighting - 2000 Venture

Do each of the rocker switches in the overhead console and below the HVAC controls have their own bulbs for back lighting? I have a couple that do not light up and I do not remember if they ever did. If yes, do you know how to get to the bulbs for replacement? Thanks, Bert

Here is your schmatic for the inside lamps. It looks like they do have lights, but I am not sure. It shows 4 bulbs in the Heat /AC controls. I would pull it out and see to know for sure.

It looks like the diagram you sent is for the rear HVAC controls . Thanks, but I am talking about the rocker switches, i.e. the rear wiper switch below the dash's center stack HVAC controls, and the forward overhead rocker switches for the power sliding door, etc. Thanks, Bert

Looks like you have a bulb out. I can fix it.

I have been away for a week so I am just getting back online to take a look here. What do I remove in what order to get to the back of these rocker switches? I guess if I have to, I can go to the junk yard and practice there before trying to take mine apart. Thanks, Bert

I went to the junk yard to find out how to do this on their vehicles. Actually, someone else had already done some of the work for me. The overhead console drops down as an assembly after removing a screw that is under the flip down door to the rear. From here you have access to the back of the switch assembly. You have to pry this thing apart to get to the bulbs. It does not seem that taking this apart was in mind when it was designed.
There were only three locations for bulbs for the four rocker switches (plus one blank in my case). So, I do not know if these three bulbs are meant to light each switch or not. Does anyone else with these overhead switches have each one light up when the headlights are on?

Thanks,

Bert
