2016 GMC Sierra Denali

Last week we showed you the mild redesign of the Chevrolet Silverado for the 2016 model year. Aside from a new face, not much is changed. Since the Silverado the brother to the Sierra, the Sierra is also being updated for the 2016 model year. If you’re a fan of chrome, this is the truck for you.

GMC’s best-selling truck has great momentum, coming off its best June since 2006, and 12 consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains. With exterior styling as its top reason for purchase, the new truck adds key design elements: LED “C-shaped” signature daytime running lights and LED headlights; new front fascia and grilles for each trim level; new LED fog lamps; new bumpers; and new “C-shaped” LED taillights. The new Sierra will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, with additional details and information on the new model released in the coming months.

All versions of the Sierra will receive new headlights that include LED surrounds and updated LED daytime running lights. A new, bigger grille, is on hand to help channel air into the engine. New LED taillights are also employed.

If you are a fan of chrome, the updated Sierra Denali is the truck for you. That new, massive front grille gets the chrome treatment, along with new wheels and other trim pieces.

The reality is the new chrome grille gives the new truck some serious street presence, and these high-end trucks are generally sold to the boss or executives at the business. The Denali is an easy way to point out who is in charge at the construction site.

2016 GMC Sierra Apple CarPlay

As with all the Chevrolet models, the GMC Sierra will have Apple’s Car Play and Google’s Android Auto integration.

More details will be released later this year to coincide with the onsale date of the 2016 GMC Sierra.
