K5 Blazer

Forget about some fancy convertible sports car. This killer K5 Blazer is the fair weather cruiser you really want.

For many folks, spring means putting away the winter beater and polishing up the summer cruiser. Gone are the metal-eating salty roads, bone-chilling winds, and seasonal depression. Now it’s time for sunshine, trips to the beach, long days, and killer cookouts. And while many might immediately think of a classic drop top sports car as the ideal vehicular complement to all of those wonderful things, we envision something more like this sweet Chevy K5 Blazer.

We spotted the boxy beauty over at the Leake Auctions site, where it immediately had visions of summer dancing in our heads. Because honestly, is there a better vehicle to experience it in? For starters, a removable roof lets in all those UV rays. And unlike that sporty convertible, this K5 Blazer will take you anywhere. It certainly won’t get stuck on a sandy beach, whether the tide is in or out.

There’s also more than enough room to bring along all your tailgating necessities. And a whole bunch of friends. And if you’re the type that craves attention, what’s going to get more of it than this? Certainly not some kind of newfangled SUV. No, they just don’t make stuff as cool as the boxy K5 Blazer any more. And this is vintage truck styling that’ll never go out of fashion!

If you’re a fan of box Chevys (and who isn’t?), you won’t find many better than this one, either. The body and paint work are equally immaculate, the interior brand new. It even comes with both a factory soft top and hard top for any sort of weather conditions. And with niceties like power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning, it’s got everything you need and nothing you don’t. Now all it needs is a grille and cooler full of beer in the back!
