TRUCK YOU! A 1969 GMC 1500 in the Garage

GM might be under some fire at the moment, and has been for the past few months, but that doesn’t mean that the cars and trucks they make should be labeled as lemons or written off in any way.

After all, they have been some superb machines that have done just fine through thick and thin, and to forget that would be blasphemy.

Chevrolet Forum member 6D9GMC is the proud owner of — you guessed it! — a 1969 GMC 1500. Today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at the amazing rig within!

6D9GMC is a fan of cars, trucks, and bikes and has always loved to work on them. He is currently a Harley-Davidson tech in Missouri, so is clearly continuing to hone his mechanical knowledge even away from his personal ride.

His ‘69 GMC 1500 has a 383 stroker under the hood, but beyond that he doesn’t mention any modifications of details about his classic truck.

Regardless, it looks quite nice and is clearly in good hands with him! It’s so rare to see these trucks on the road anymore that no one could argue that 6D9GMC hasn’t done an excellent job with his.

Regardless of whether or not you prefer the classic rigs or the modern design, it’s always nice to see a 46 year old ride cruising down the street!
