1991 Chevy Silverado C1500 replaced thermostat service light on now won't start
Please Help, I have 1991 Chevy Slivardo C1500 5.7 it has close to 500,000 miles.
It ran like a champ, i replaced thermostat i noticed the coolant sensor plastic tip was boke and still clipped onto the male side(wire) but I was still able to push it back onto sensor. The temperature stood the same while I had it like that which was for two days. I did notice a little talking little roughness while driving. Then the service engine light came on and then off twice. Temperature did not change but I was thinking it was not reading correctly so I stopped and bought a new sensor. Came home unplugged battery and let cool off i replaced sensor connected the battery it cranks but didn't start up. Then I went and bought a ignition module replaced it , nothing. I loosen nut on gas filter gas came out but didn't continue when I turn key but not start it and when I tried to start it. I checked wires ,fuses, battery is ok. I see gas going into carburetor when starting. Any ideas or do I need to have an burial I hope not. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU
