Hey, I have a 2015 Silverado 2500 with a good amount of play in the steering. I narrowed it down to the u-joint in the lower steering shaft, the part that connects to the steering gear.

2 questions... One is, its pretty rusty, so do you think its best to just replace both upper and lower intermediate steering shafts, would probably be easier to get out right?

Second is, I'm searching all over the internet and it seems like everywhere I look they are on back order. I also can't find any aftermarket replacement. The part number I've found is 85104190. I've ordered it from a couple gm parts warehouses that don't say its out of stock or backorder, but a couple minutes later my order gets cancelled, because of back order.

curious if you got the part number? i’ve searched all over and cannot seem to find one unless back ordered but everyone gives me a part number that no one can find for my truck.. thanks!
