Hey, I’m new to the truck life and I’m basically wondering what kind of mods you fellas would recommend on my 2017 Silverado 1500custom

Assuming this is a used vehicle, and there are no records, I'd drop the tranny fluid/filter unless its a stick shift. If no motor oil service sticker or record, I'd drop that too.

What other mods did you have in mind?

It only has 17K miles on it and I’m looking for both appearance and performance mods. Wether it’s little gadgets that make life easier, or full on kits

problem with performance mods for gasers, imo…you get little return for your money unless you go big...boost...and when you go big all the other systems need support or they will fail.

would a cold air intake be a waste in that case?

only if you consider $300 jewellery a waste. if its worth the look...go for it. seat of your pants dyno will not notice a difference.

10-4 good buddy, what are your thoughts on bolt on fender flares with offsets and a 4 inch lift?

l have rusty trucks so fender flares are a must for me. I have not used wheel spacers so can't comment either way.

I have install a few lift kits at work...they look great but do not drive as nice as a factory set up. everything is a compromise. For a street truck a lift kit and oversized tires ruins mpg...but if you off road your truck lifting is the way to go.
