I bought a 2022 2500, 6.6 gas and I have not had any issues with it so far. I have 16,000 miles on it. I bought it to tow a travel trailer. No issue towing it. Gas mileage, not towing is 16 to 18 mpg, if I keep my foot out of it. Towing I get 8 to 10 mpg. It has the six speed transmission.

 

Go with the gas and save $10000. Maintainance will be cheaper and you will have plenty of power.
