Default Caprice 1979, stalls when accelerate

I have a big problem with my 79 caprice and acceleration. When I depress the throttle to accelerate the car stalls completely and I have to lift off to keep it alive so to speak. This is annoying to say the least, especially when I've gone through a great deal of trouble to try and fix it.

Thats why I now ask if someone in this community can help me.

Following list is whats already done to the car to overcome this problem.

350cui/350 trans

*Rebuilt carb, Rochester quadrajet (carb no: 17059216) bought from carblady in the US. This is whats supposed to be fitted when built.

*New fuel pump

*All vacuum hoses replaced.

*Rotor and distibutor cap replaced.

*New plugs.

*Ignition timing set at 6 degrees, according to sticker under the hood.

*Vacuum to distributor is supposed to use outlet H on q.jet, this does not work at all, the car is totally undriveable with dist connected to ported vacuum (I believe H is ported, correct me if wrong) Distributor is now connected to manifold vacuum, whichs improves everything a little bit, still same behaviour.

*Accelerator pump checked over and over, nothing seems wrong there.

*Float level checked (seems ok), but cant find any actual info on whats correct for my specific carb. So I dont know, but the bowl is full.

All out of ideas, please help.

Well I would have gotten a holley or edelbrock carb, quadrajets are good, new but that's about it, they get real finicky, seems like you have everything covered, unless it's stuck in full choke I'm not sure what else it could be

Well its a new rebuilt q,jet from a specialist so I'm not throwing it out for an edelbrock or holley thats for sure. Tricky ok, but not that tricky. And it's not stuck on full choke either.

Im starting to drift towards worn down cam or something.

One ting is that the car actually runs better with 8-10 degrees ignition timing, but its supposed to be 6 degrees according to the sticker under the hood. Wonder why?
