Default Replaced Dash

I just replaced the dash in my girlfriends 2002 Cavalier. Of course the piece by the windshield was cracked. There were many more cracks I found as I took it apart. I found a great dash at a junkyard. It wasn't hard at all to replace the dash. It was mainly just time consuming.

After I got it finished, I noticed a line on the piece by the windshield. It is on the passenger side, just a few inches from the end. It is barely noticeable, but I'm afraid it might be the start of a crack. It hasn't actually split in two and I don't think it even goes through to the underside. Is there anything I can do to keep it from getting worse? I guess the best thing to do is remove the dash and reinforce the area on the underside of the crack. Any other options? I just would like someway of fixing it without removing the dash again.

I read somewhere that acetone will fuse certain plastics back together. Will it work on that piece? If so, I thought that I could take a syringe or something and use it to get some acetone into the crack. I could be completely wrong in my thinking though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
