Default Where to get instrument cluster repaired?

I have a 2001 Silverado and the battery kept dying, thought maybe bc of corrosion but there was none. Unplugged the cluster and it’s still got battery juice so I need to get the cluster repaired. Any recommendations on where to get it done and how much? I’ve seen listings on eBay for 50-75 dollars. Just need it repaired to sell the truck. Not going to keep it.

thanks!

You will have to take it or ship it as the odometer has to stay with the truck. I had mine repaired locally. You can google instrument repairs for this in your area.

How long does it take for the battery to die? Does the battery test good? Why do you think the cluster is at fault?

ipc repairs shops usually only fix bad steppers motors and mosefet transistors for the display. you may want to go with a replacment cluster for a parasitic draw. there is a cluster vendor on this site; see what they think.

takes 2-3 days, it’s a spare vehicle but if I were to drive it every other day it’s fine, but if not it dies. I unplugged the cluster and left it sitting for over a week and started up like a champ. So right now I leave the cluster unplugged when it sits.
